Dante Gabriel Rossetti (Londra 1828 – Birchington, Kent, 1882), poeta e pittore, fu tra i fondatori del movimento dei Preraffaelliti. The Blessed Damozel, pubblicata per la prima volta nel 1850 nella rivista The Germ, è la sua poesia più conosciuta.
